Second Google Android phone set for April
Vodafone has posted pictures of the HTC Magic, the second Android phone, on its website.
The operator, which is the sole operator for the latest Android device, plans to release the HTC Magic in April this year. Vodafone managed to snag the exclusive on the touch-screen, QWERTY-less follow up to last year’s first-Android-phone-ever, the T-Mobile G1.
Here are the specs as we know them so far - a 3.2-megapixel camera, 3.2-inch QVGA touch-screen and impressive internet specs to the tune of HSDPA, trackball and navigation pad for extra-smooth web browsing, and support for POP3 and IMAP3 mail. And it marks the second phone to run on Android, the open-source mobile operating system from Google that’s been the subject of oh so much hype, despite having been on a total of one handset.
